Brewery Spotlight: People’s Pint Brewing Company

Connecting you to to the best breweries around the GTA

This craft brewery is a little off the beaten path in a rather unassuming part of The Junction neighbourhood of Toronto. However, they deserve anything but modest recognition when it comes to the fantastic beer they are brewing. Combining ingenuity with quality, People’s Pint Brewing makes “beer by the people for the people,” as they so proudly and concisely put it.

Founded in January 2015 and at first having no permanent location of their own, they depended on the generosity and equipment of other local breweries to help bring their creations to the people.

Since establishing their permanent brewing facility and taproom at 90 Cawthra Ave in 2018, they’ve been dedicated to working with brewers from around the city to showcase the incredible local talent thriving in Toronto’s beer scene, building a strong rapport with the community they serve, and making sure everyone has the opportunity to experience the possibilities of quality craft beer.

“The most rewarding aspect of being a part of such a community-driven brewery is the community itself,” says David Coleman, Sales Account and Brand Manager. “From the folks we see every week in the brewery, to working with local makers and businesses through our taproom events and organizations that we work to support with collaboration beers, such as Do Better Be Better and the OSPCA, it’s all part of building a larger community and positive environment.”

If you’re a fan of a great pint and a warm welcome, this is a brewery that should be topping your Toronto to-do list.

What’s on tap and in the shop?

With a varied and decidedly unique array of craft brews, People’s Pint Brewing always keeps things interesting with their tried-and-true core lineup, and innovative rotating seasonal creations.

Jacket Weather Oatmeal Stout

The perfect beer for the colder months, this stout has notes of caramel and light molasses with coffee-like maltiness giving it a robust presence.

Spice Must Flow – Pumpkin Spice Porter

People’s Pint showcases this quintessentially Fall flavour in their incredible porter. This beer, however, transcends a simple seasonal trend. With a huge depth of flavour and a well-rounded profile, it’s perfect for any occasion, so get it while it lasts!

Mango Fett NEIPA

More than just a clever name, this New England style IPA is brewed with lactose giving it a rich and creamy texture. With nuanced and subtle mango flavour this beer is a terrific take on a great style.

Gose Little Something Like This Tamarind Sour

If you’re looking for something a bit out of the ordinary this sour could be exactly what you’re looking for. Tangy, spritzy, and slightly fruity, this beer makes a welcome and refreshing addition to the People’s Pint’s repertoire.
